Until 1958 lower deck of the Bay Bridge ran electric street cars that were part of the Key System. The Key Cars ran all over Oakland and Berkeley and then to the Trans-Bay Terminal. The public library at Piedmont Ave & 41st and the Whole Foods at 27th & Harrison both used to be a Key station. Here are some pictures:
